Elevating & Fostering an Environment of Research at UCF

The UCF Research Foundation (UCFRF) was created in 1991 as a non-profit direct support organization of UCF to promote, encourage and provide assistance to the research activities of University faculty, staff and students. UCFRF accepts and administers contracts, grants, and other sponsored activities as well as appropriate donations, the majority coming from private funds. In addition, UCFRF provides the mechanism for making UCF discoveries, inventions, processes and work products available to the public. The UCFRF also assists with the economic development initiatives of the University.

  • The UCF Research Foundation manages a variety of agreements including (i) sponsored contracts and grants; (ii) clinical trial agreements; (iii) research donations, sponsorships, conferences, services and consulting agreements; (iv) vendor agreements; (v) lease and sublease agreements; and (vi) licensing and option agreements.
  • The UCF Research Foundation holds and manages Intellectual Property assets on behalf of UCF.
  • The UCF Research Foundation s actively involved in the financial administration of the UCF Business Incubators, the National Entrepreneur Center (NEC), and the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida (ASEMFL).
